I ordered a new solenoid and when it arrived, I installed it as follows: I cut the power to the refrigerator. I then pulled off the rubber boot (and it's plastic frame) that covers the water switch. Then I removed the bezel that covers the front of the ice maker controls by pulling it straight out. Then I removed the four screws found on the assembly under the bezel. I checked the water supply to the solenoid valve and it was okay, but no water was getting passed the valve. I checked the 115 vac signal from the ice maker to the valve and it was present.
