The Evaporator Fan Motor Kit is an OEM part compatible with GE refrigerators. It is a critical component responsible for circulating air and maintaining proper airflow within the refrigerator's evaporator system, ensuring efficient cooling and temperature regulation. It features a shaft that measures 3/8 of an inch and two right-side terminals. Notably, the motor no longer comes with harness wires, which must be obtained separately for installation.
Symptoms of a faulty evaporator fan motor include:
Causes of a bad evaporator fan motor can include wear and tear over time, electrical issues or short circuits, or physical damage from foreign objects or improper maintenance.
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore refrigerator models.
I called AppliancePartsPros.com and they helped me diagnose the problem for this very nice, and well designed refrigerator, that I wanted to keep rather than recycle at the local scrap yard. It turns out that all it needed was a small electric fan (i.e., evaporator fan) to circulate the air from the freezer coils throughout the refrigerator [all other major components were good]. It was really easy to locate the motor and fan and replace it. I saved hundreds of $$$. I really appreciated the... Read more
The Riser Cam Shim is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. This part helps in aligning and leveling the refrigerator door, ensuring it opens and closes smoothly.
Causes of a bad riser cam shim can include regular wear and tear, damage from repeated door openings and closings, or deformation from improper installation.
Symptoms of a bad riser cam shim include:
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
Went online to youtube for videos. Could not find a video of draw front but figured it out. Read more
The Fan Blade Grommet is an OEM replacement part for GE brand refrigerators. Located behind the evaporator fan blade where its central shaft passes through, this rubber sealing piece creates a protective barrier isolating the fan assembly.
Causes of a potentially problematic fan blade grommet include cracks or deterioration that develop from continuous vibration and impacts over extended use. Exposure to temperature fluctuations can also cause the rubber to harden and lose elasticity.
Symptoms of a faulty fan blade grommet include:
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore model refrigerators.

The Drive Cup is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. This part engages with other parts to drive the ice out of the molds and into the storage bin.
Causes of Drive Cup failure can range from physical wear and tear from regular use, which may lead to cracks or deformities in the part, to accumulation of frost or ice that hinders its movement.
Symptoms of a malfunctioning Drive Cup include:
Ordered new auger and installed it and now we have clean ice for our drinks. Read more
Includes 2 door handles.
The white had worn off the refrigerator and freezer door handles exposing the dingy yellow underneath. Because it was a soft vinyl material, I didn't think paint would work. The replacement parts arrived two days after ordering. Accessing the door handle screws involved removing two pieces of trim by wedging a narrow bladed screwdriver into the top joint between the white trim and the chrome channel and gently prying the trim outward and down toward me until it popped out of the channel. I ran... Read more
The Ice Door Spring is an OEM part compatible with GE refrigerators. It is responsible for providing tension and support to the ice chute door, allowing it to open and close smoothly. When you activate the ice dispenser, the spring helps to release the door and allow the ice to pass through. After dispensing, the spring assists in closing the door to prevent cold air leakage and maintain the desired temperature inside the refrigerator.
You should replace the ice door spring if it loses tension or breaks, which can happen due to regular wear and tear, frequent use, or accidental damage. A faulty spring can lead to issues with the ice dispenser's operation and overall efficiency.
Symptoms of a bad ice door spring may include:
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
The ice dispenser door was not closing tightly. As a result, there was frost build up in the ice chute, which also was allowing ambient air and temperature into the freezer compartment. Upon further inspection, there was black “schmutz” on the ice door, and the rubber ice funnel and deflector parts were deteriorating. Because the door was not closing tightly, I also assumed that the door-closing spring was week. The parts I ordered were: ice door assembly, ice funnel, ice deflector, spring and... Read more

I emptied door shelves and used plastic sheet to close off refrigerator. The repair was done with refrigerator running. I removed door and changed riser cam and shim. Then replaced door. It took maybe 45 minutes from start to finish. If I did the job again it would be completed in 30 minutes or less. The videos are informative. Thank You Read more
