At first I thought it was the bearing, but when I got it apart I found the main shaft had corroded from possibly the soap powder and bleach combo build up on the part. After I cleaned it all up I found one of the three mounting braces was cracked and causing the unit to shake during the spin cycle. This is the pump housing or pump case that encloses the drain pump assembly on a front-load or top-load washing machine. Fix excessive wobble and shaking during spin cycles. This washer suspension spring absorbs vibration and stabilizes the drum. Moderate DIY repair.
Replaced the suspension components by slightly lifting and supporting the drum assembly allowing replacement of the two support springs, followed by replacing the two shock dampers located at the lower front of the machine, followed by replacing the two rear dampers. The only difficulty was in designing a system to gently lift and support the drum assembly, needed to safely replace the top support springs. This is a shipping bolt and bracket assembly used to secure the washer's inner tub during transport, preventing damage to the suspension system. The bolts lock the drum in place so it cannot move while the machine is being relocated. Install these bolts before moving the washer to a new location, and remove them before operating the machine - leaving them in during use can cause excessive vibration and damage to internal components.
