Fix washer overflowing or underfilling issues with this water level pressure switch. Senses tub fill and prevents overflow. 15-minute DIY repair.
I replaced the water level switch and hose. After removing the hose, I found that it was clogged, and did not allow the water level to be sensed by the switch. A test after the replacement of the parts was successful. While filling the tub, the water shut off at the small, medium, and large levels as indicated by the switch. Read more

Fixes washers that won't start, agitate, or spin. This control board manages cycles and user interface. DIY repair typically takes under 1 hour.
A service tech diagnosed the problem as the control board. He ruled out other potential problems. Estimated it would cost close to $300 to fix above the $90 service charge. I figured that I could do it myself and ordered the control board, opened up the back, removed the original board and installed the new one. Took about an hour. Washing machine is working again. Original service call cost and part totaled less than $200. I'm happy. Hope that the machine functions for many more years. Read more
This genuine OEM part is a drive motor for washers. The drive motor is the main engine that drives the washer tub allowing it to rotate and wash clothes effectively. If the washer is no longer spinning or the power has significantly decreased, it might be a sign that the drive motor needs to be replaced. Luckily, replacing this part is a relatively simple repair. To replace the drive motor, start by unplugging the washer. Once unplugged, move the washer away from the wall to gain access to the back panel. Uninstall the back panel by removing the screws that attach it. After removal, locate the drive motor and proceed to unthread the mounting screws holding it to the washer. Proceed to pull the old motor out of its place and install the new motor by threading the screws that secure it. This replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with GE, RCA, and Hotpoint brand washers.
New motor. The motor was ok, but the control board mounted on the motor wasn't. Can't buy to control board separate from the motor. Easy to replace the motor, but not so easy to troubleshoot to make sure the problem was the motor and not something else. Read more
Washer won't spin or agitate? This motor and inverter assembly restores proper basket rotation. Moderately difficult repair, takes 30-60 minutes.
Removed front panel using putty knife inserted between top lid and front panel. Plugged in and selected Drain and Spin option on front panel. Drain pump started but drive motor did not turn. Followed the steps I found at http://www.appliance-repair-it.com/GE-washer-repair.html. The LED light on motor periodically flashed six times, which the web site said meant that "motor will not turn". Following their instructions, I confirmed that the the large pulley was not jammed and the mother was not... Read more

I had to remove the front panel of the washing machine and top of the washing machine. i started by removing all the top screws as shown in one of videos. disconnected all the electrical wires (i have a commercial washer) and lifted the front panel over the back of the machine. i was then able to remove the top of the washing machine to give me access to the tub straps and the corresponding screws. i removed the broken straps and then was able to remove the tub cover by pushing down it down... After entering the model number into the DIY section of AppliancePartsPros.com; the two most common issues that came up were for the water inlet valve and switch pressure. I ordered both just in case. Opted to try the water inlet valve first since this was the more common issue according to the website. Watched the provided video on how to install a few times before leaving it up on my phone and pausing as I did the repair. Worked through step by step and it was a breeze! Low and behold... Read more
