This Screw (drawing) is a factory fastener used to secure appliance panels and components. Replacing a stripped, corroded, or missing screw restores a tight fit, reduces vibration, and helps keep assemblies correctly aligned.
The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. As it would start to loosen up (as evidenced by the loud banging noise exhibited during operation); I'd shut it down, pull the top off, remove the weight (it was almost always half rattled off at this point), wrap the mount lugs with friction tape (the plastic lugs were being worn down/chaffed by the balance weight), put the weight back... Secures washer hoses to pumps, tubs, and drain fittings to prevent leaks. Replace when weakened, rusty, or damaged to maintain tight connections.
I started by watching the video and it was very helpful. I would make one suggestion. On our model the weights on the tub sit very close to the front gasket. It is much easier to put the gasket on the tub before you put the weights on. Also, since the washer was tore apart, I replaced the hoses and seals and shocks since the machine is about 8 years old. The shocks made a huge difference. It spins like it did when it was new. Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. Read more
This rotor position sensor (Hall sensor) tracks the direct-drive motor's rotor position and speed so the control can commutate the washer motor accurately. Replacing a failed sensor can restore proper wash/agitate and spin performance. What it does:

Mounts the door hinge to your washer's front cabinet. Replace if bracket is bent, broken, or missing to restore proper door alignment and sealing.
After I checked the hose connections and determined that they were not the problem, I removed the top of the washer and saw water dripping from the cold-water intake valve. Before I called a service repairman, I checked You Tube for instructions on how to replace it. The instructions were precise and easy to follow. I easily remove the wires and hoses, then removed the part by removing 2 screws. I attached the replacement part, reattached the wires and hoses and was done, Leak fixed! Read more

Replaced the spider arm- it seems like a dauting task but ultimately was a simple and long process. You can most likely do this process with just one person, but there are times where a second set of hands is helpful in taking a part or putting back together certain components. Read more

Washer won't spin or shows LE error? A failed stator loses the magnetic field needed to rotate the drum. Moderately difficult repair with rotor removal.
My son in law easily replaced the stator and the machine worked. I washed a couple of loads and it shock more than before. The next day I washed a load and it shook so much it took two of us to keep the machine from traveling across the room. So back to the drawing board. Read more
