Following a you tube video, I disassembled the washer to the level necessary to access hinge and replaced the assembly. Note that if your assembly uses Phillips screws on the door, they use a thread locker compound. In order to remove the screws, heat them from the back with a propane torch for about 15 seconds. I wished the new hinge came with screws instead of reusing the old ones. Read more

I called a repairman he told me what was wrong and the price to fix it. I told him I would buy the parts to lessen the repair cost. I couldn't find the correct part on line. I found your tutorial, watched it a couple of times and decided I could do this! I got online and had a chat with your pro. I was a little disappointed to hear that my model required complete tub assembly, as the bearings didn't come separate. Had a heck of a time getting the inner tub unstuck! Probably saved me the heart ache of pounding out the bearings for buying the whole assembly, but re-assembly went great with NO parts leftover. Washer runs great, nice and quiet.
