The Icemaker is an OEM part compatible with GE refrigerators. It is responsible for producing ice cubes and depositing them into the ice bucket or ice storage bin. The icemaker is designed to automatically monitor ice levels and produces just the right amount of ice on demand.
Causes of a bad icemaker can include mechanical failure or wear of components like the water inlet valve, ice ejector mechanism, or ice mold heater. Minerals or scale buildup can also impact the icemaker's efficiency over time.
Symptoms of a bad icemaker include:
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
Ordered a new one through this website. Had a repair man come out and was told it needd to be replaced. I asked him how much? he wanted $590.00 dollars. i said that was ridiculous and asked how much the part cost, which was a hundred sixty. took 15 minutes to replace. easiest repair job ever. saved $4 hundy! This refrigerator water line is the plastic tubing that routes pressurized water through the appliance's water system. Replacing a cracked, brittle, or kinked line helps restore proper water flow and prevents leaks inside or around the unit.
I replace the water inlet valve in my refrigerator about 8 months ago. About a week ago, the old plastic water line broke. I forgot how the water line connector worked and broke the valve trying to pull it out. I got a new valve and replacement water line, and it went in easily, just like the video said. Morals of the story: 1. Know how to remove the old plastic water line. I could have saved myself the price of a new valve if I'd remembered how the connector worked. Unless you have a really... Restore a tight, energy-saving seal on your refrigerator. This magnetized fresh-food door gasket keeps cold air in and warm air out, helping maintain temperature, reduce frost and moisture, and prevent the compressor from overworking.
The Ice Bucket is an OEM replacement part for GE refrigerators. It stores and dispenses ice from the freezer compartment. Causes of a bad ice bucket can include wear and tear over time or damage to the bucket or its parts due to mishandling or impact.
Symptoms of a faulty ice bucket include:
If you notice cracks, breaks, or any damage to the ice bucket, it may be time for a replacement. This GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.
Extremely simple, take out the old unit ( just slides out from the ice maker) and put in the new one. Read more
This armature kit is the moving plunger and linkage operated by the dispenser solenoid. It opens and closes the ice chute door during dispensing and helps it seal when idle to reduce frost and warm-air leaks.

This fan-mount grommet fits the evaporator or condenser fan assembly to isolate vibration and keep the motor aligned. Replacing a worn grommet can quiet rattles and prevent the fan blade from rubbing the housing. What it does:
Condenser fan stopped on my big 2003 Monogram 4 foot wide ZIS480D Refrigerator. It is top mounted. The fridge had to be rolled out. 20 screws removed and the top sheet metal to get at the condenser. That was the only way to get at it. Works like new now. Read more
An evaporator fan blade mounts on the evaporator fan motor to move cold air across the coils and throughout the refrigerator compartments. Replacing a cracked, warped, or loose blade restores proper airflow, temperature balance, and quiet operation.
This refrigerator lamp socket holds an E12-base appliance bulb and provides the electrical connection for the light fixture. Replace it when the light won't turn on or flickers despite a known-good bulb and functioning door switch.
When diagnosing the problem, I discovered that the ice door was not properly sealing and that the solenoid had appeared to rust/corrode forcing the door open. I replaced most of the ice dispenser internals (solenoid, crank, door, and spring) following the video. The door will now open when dispensing ice (which it does!), and will oddly stay open for a few seconds once I am finished, but does seal properly and the chute/container no longer frosts over. This assembly includes the refrigerator's water inlet valve mounted on its bracket. It regulates water flow from the household supply into the refrigerator's water system to restore reliable filling for the ice maker and/or dispenser.
I purchased a replacement water valve assembly and a replacement water reservoir from AppliancePartsPros and researched some online videos to learn how to replace both these items, including all new water tubing. In the online process, I utilized "how-to" videos from AppliancePartsPros, too. Installing the water reservoir proved the most tricky, mostly because it was tricky feeding the tubing under the refrigerator. By comparison, installing the valve assembly and running new tubing for it was... Read more
This replacement motor powers the dispenser's auger/crusher mechanism to move ice from the bucket to the chute. Replacing a weak or seized motor helps restore reliable cube or crushed-ice dispensing from the freezer door.
I watched the help videos first, then ordered the parts, and installed all items as in the video. Read more
The recess door retainer secures the dispenser's ice chute flapper in the refrigerator door. Replacing a cracked or missing retainer restores proper flapper pivot and sealing to help reduce frost buildup and air leaks around the dispenser.
I replaced the solenoid, door, spring and bucket. The bucket cracked from ice freezing inside it. Ice froze inside the bucket because the solenoid stopped pulling the door closed which allowed hot humid air into the freezer. While I was in there I replaced the dispenser door, spring and crank because they are cheap and the old ones were moldy. The mold is most likely from the door not closing and causing condensation on the parts as well. Read more
This icing kit is a factory update designed to reduce frost build-up in the ice/dispenser area. It improves sealing and insulation to help keep the ice path clear and restore reliable dispensing performance.
Firstly, the Ice Door had a kink in the edge, which caused it to stay open and create lots of frost on the coils. $5.00 part, highly recommend it. (By the way, the new door was little too big and it too stay propped open and left a gap so I had to trim the top edge of the rubber with scissors to get it to fully close.) Secondly, there are two heaters for the defrost cycle, one that goes around the coils and another attached to a collector pan beneath the coils. When the cycle hits, those... Read more
This LED transformer supplies low-voltage power for your refrigerator's interior lighting. Replacing the transformer can restore consistent illumination when the doors open.
Tested the input voltage of the transformer (located at the bottom of the fridge) at 125V. Tested the output voltage and was only getting 1 volt. Ordered the listed new transformer, installed it, which was a major pain in the A*&^^& just not a lot of room to work with, but did get in in and "voila" the LED panel worked again! Very quick shipping from Appliance Parts Pros which included the correct part, Thank you. Read more
This straight 1/4-inch water line coupler joins two sections of 1/4-inch OD refrigerator tubing, restoring a secure connection in dispenser and icemaker supply lines. Use it to splice, repair, or extend existing tubing.
Replaced hoses. They were not an exact replacement but they did end up working with the purchase of one additional fitting (5/16 x 1/4 coupler) Read more
This water inlet valve controls the flow of household water into the refrigerator's ice maker during fill cycles. Replacing a sticking or leaking valve restores proper ice fills and helps prevent nuisance leaks at the back of the unit. What it does:
I researched the problem online and determined it was undoubtedly the water valve leaking. A visit to AppliancePartsPros.com to order the replacement valve and I was ready to go. Actual repair only took 15 minutes. Read more
