Fix dark refrigerator interior with this LED lighting transformer. Restores consistent illumination when doors open. Challenging install, 1-2 hours.

This icing kit is a factory update designed to reduce frost build-up in the ice/dispenser area. It improves sealing and insulation to help keep the ice path clear and restore reliable dispensing performance.
Firstly, the Ice Door had a kink in the edge, which caused it to stay open and create lots of frost on the coils. $5.00 part, highly recommend it. (By the way, the new door was little too big and it too stay propped open and left a gap so I had to trim the top edge of the rubber with scissors to get it to fully close.) Secondly, there are two heaters for the defrost cycle, one that goes around the coils and another attached to a collector pan beneath the coils. When the cycle hits, those... Read more

Fix a warm Custom Cool drawer or knocking noise from the bottom compartment. This fan assembly restores proper airflow for faster chilling. DIY repair.
I replaced the fan and heater element. The replacement was not an exact match. I had to adjust the parts to get the harness to fit the plug was not the correct size. I cut it off and used the existing plug. Not a big deal and everything else fit. Pretty good for a twenty year old replacement. Also the heater element was a different shape but it fit as is. Fix loud tapping or knocking noises and uneven cooling in your fridge. This air damper restores balanced temperature control. DIY repair in about 1 hour.
All my reading online pointed to the damper doors, and by standing in the open door of my fridge, I patiently waited until it happened again, and determined it was the ones behind the crisper. Problem was, there's both a single unit and a double set of doors listed on your part list. I decided to order both sets (and they came in two days, thank you). I watched your great video and even though my unit didn't perfectly match the one you demonstrated, it was close enough that I made the repair... Read more

Mounting screw fastens panels, brackets, and trim in refrigerators, dishwashers, and ranges. Replace missing, stripped, or rusty screws to secure parts.
The auger gearbox shaft had a spot that was stripped of threads which prevented the auger drive from spinning the ice down the chute. I replaced the auger motor/gearbox assembly, the auger drive as it had to be cut off the shaft, and the 3 mount bolts that hold it all in place. Whole job took 30 minutes from start to finish which included cutting off the drive bracket. Read more
Secures the evaporator fan shroud to the rear compartment frame. Replace if rusted, cracked, or broken to properly support the fan assembly and alignment.
The problem was most likely the evaporator fan motor but it could have been a bad blade, loose parts or bad motor mounts. Hard to tell without taking everything apart and inspecting. Since fridge was 17 years old I decided to order the entire evaporator fan assembly as shown in the parts diagram including fan blade, motor brackets, motor, motor mounts, screws, etc. Getting to the assembly involved removing the ice maker unit plus the entire rear inside of the freezer section. Parts cost around... Read more

Refrigerator not cooling or running? This inverter control board supplies power to the compressor. Moderate DIY repair requiring basic electrical testing.
Compressor not running. Check power going to it and nothing. Tested ohms on the compressor. 8-10 ohms approx Lights and display all working normal so I assumed the main board was ok Replaced the inverter board. Confirmed there was 4-5bdc on the red and white trigger plug on the inverter. It’s a waveform that is there also but having voltage on the red and white wire of the inverter is a good sign the mother board is ok. I wanted to confirm the damper door was working properly. The damper is... Read more
