• Ice maker not making ice

We had a sears tech come out and "inspect" our freezer - he said it was one of the 2 vales behind the fridge that needed to be replaced. I found them for 50 bucks each on amazon... but then I thought I might shop around. Then i found this kit - that has the 2 valves AND the icemaker assembly for basically the same price. I went ahead and swapped out the icemaker assembly since it didn't involve getting behind the fridge. the next morning - BOOM ice. lots of ice. amazed. and happy. Read more

We found the right ice cub bin/pan, ordered it, and it arrived quickly. Fit perfectly, and it is now catching our ice. Read more

Took the broken bin out and put the new bin in. all of maybe two minutes. Read more

This is the second time of needing repair. I remove the ice bucket, open the crusher, remove the 5 blades. Straighten the blades, reinstall. I then order new blades, The next time it happens I will install the new blades. The reason for the malfunction, (my guess), two ice cubes partially melted stick together and the size and angel the enter crusher cause the problem. Didn't know what to call the part - got on chat one evening and the wonderful customer service rep knew exactly how to direct me - and even ordered the part for me! It arrives 2 days later - and we fixed our problem! Seems like breaking the plastic arm when the ice sensor starts to fall down happens rather often - 2nd time we have replaced it - but the fix is easy. Wish there was a permanent fix for the ice sensor - I don't think we have the problem solved just yet - but the plastic arm... Read more

Had to replace the ice container assy. They do not sell just the Ice Crusher assy. Bummer. It is a very easy fix. Just pull out old Ice Container Assy and replace with new one. Read more
