While this is a Whirlpool dishwasher, I have the Kenmore Elite version of it. I believe them to be identical for parts. So this is a poor design in the first case. Not having a center support in the back almost guarantees a failure there eventually. I kludged together a support in my original more than a year ago, but finally the part broke too bad to limp along with anymore. This is the part I needed. I replaced the bar and rack support. It was fairly easy. I measured the shelf and cut the bar to size. Then I inserted the bar into the shelf support and the inserted the bar and supports into the slots on the left and right.
