The Ice Maker is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. It is responsible for automatically producing batches of ice on demand. The ice maker utilizes water that is piped directly into the unit to freeze into cubes and collect in the ice bucket for storage.

Causes of a bad ice maker include mechanical failures due to wear and tear over time, clogs in the water line, or issues with heating elements.
