After changing the water filter flow came to a stop would chatter without flow Erik K. • Dallas , TX • December 18, 2016
After changing water filter, flow came to a stop. Would chatter without any water. Confirmed I had flow from the wall supply to the fridge as I broke the water line at the union and let run into a bucket. Then I removed the water filter housing and tube assembly after reconnecting supply. Now the water was only circulating from the wall to the filter housing to the bucket. No flow and chatter was present. I did this to rule out a frozen reservoir. Really simple fix. Was able to remove...

No cooling from refrigerator lights worked but compressor did not run Jeff B. • Ovalo , TX • May 07, 2015
Checked compressor windings - ok. Start relay looked no rattle or burning. Start capacitor seamed ok but hard to check. No 120VC to start relay at any time. Ordered thermistor, and electronic control unit. Figuring it was a bad thermistor not telling the ECU it was warm and to turn on the compressor. Or the ECU was damaged and was not sending the 120v to the compressor. Changed the thermistor first (cheapest part and as Appliance parts pros has a return policy I wanted to start there). ...

The ice maker was dripping in the front creating icicles as well as filter housing not accepting filter. Jacqueline B. • Winter Springs , FL • March 03, 2024
I ordered the parts, removed the old icemaker, followed the video exactly, and put the new one in. So easy! Video was spot one. I am a 63 year old woman and had no trouble. Anyone can do this, don't pay for a repair. The filter housing was harder, you need to use a wrench to push the grip on the old filter housing to get the water lines to release. Once they do, it was not that hard after that. The video does not indicate that, he seemed to just be able to pull them out easily. Other than...

When starting my dryer the motor would power up and rotoe the drum and blower. Afetr about 20-30 seconds the igniter would come on then the gas valve would open and I would get heat for about 6 or 7 seconds then it would shut off. I know the burner is suppoed to cycle on and off but once the burner shut off it would not come bqack on unless I shut the dryer off and then back on. I checked for continuity on the thermistor, the thermal fuse and the high temp sensor. All three of them appeared to...

F2 e3 error code on front load duet washer Mark M. • Saratoga Springs , NY • September 16, 2016
Replace the water temperature sensor and still had the error code. While I had the back of the machine open I ran the washer. I traced the black wires from the temperature sensor and wiggled them as the washer was running. At one zip tie every time i moved the wires the washer would stop running and the error code would flash. Sure enough, like many others posted, the vibration from the machine had split the wire. I spiced the wire back together and have not had a problem since.

Coil in freezer iced up and refrigerator would not cool David M. • Ambridge , PA • December 10, 2015
My unit has a bottom freezer that is a drawer. I had to remove the drawer, rack, glides, glide tracks, and ice maker to remove the rear panel. This was a little difficult but after researching a few videos on line I learned some tricks that made it easier. I used a hair dryer to melt the ice. This is best done with 2 people having one at the back to sponge the water into a bowl from the pan to avoid a water mess. Using a bolt meter I checked the heating element and found it had continuity. I...

E66 error code. Door open came on and dryer would not turn on at all other than display of error. Bruce H. • South Elgin , IL • March 15, 2014
I actually found a post from another brave soul who was willing to try to fix his, and had stated when he put the new limiter switch in, it fixed the problem.
Since the whole back of the dryer needs to come off to get to the burner, and the limiter switch is inexpensive it seemed like common sense to take this approach first. After all, you don't put a new engine in your car if all it needs is a new battery!
I also found posts that an overheating event could fry the main control board, and...
