• Little to no heat when broiling

I wanted to get the upper oven baking element replaced; it hasn't been working for a few months. This double oven has had two other issues, there is a fan that comes on to cool the electronics panel, That fan has made excessive noise and it operates for 2-3 hours after the oven turns off. The other problem with the oven is the Self-Cleaning feature runs for about 15-30 minutes and then turns off with an error code. Removed the top of the range after unplugging it, removed the brace holding the element, replaced the element. Total of 20 minutes spent. Read more

Ordered new bake element on 01/03/2021 and received on 01/05/2021. Thanks for the expedited service. My husband removed the old bake element and replaced with the new bake element. Took less than 15 minutes to remove and replace. Read more

We got the heater core kit. Unplug, undo two screws and pulled old one out. Looking at the old one, put the new one together and then mounted it back in place. Turned on dryer but no heat so unplugged it, tapped on elements, plugged back in and it worked. Not to hard. Read more

I took the old Terminal block out and put the new one back in. it's about 15 minutes job. it was a really simple thing to do. I don't know why it always get the Terminal Block burn in every 3 or 4 months. I have to replace it all the times. I am very disappoint about the Electric Stove. The brand I have, is Hotpoint. I think about changing to Gas Stove instead soon. Read more

I ordered a replacement broiler element from AppliancePartsPros.com. I watched the on-line video on how to replace the broil element: this was very informative! The repair went fine, except that the broil element connector wires both retreated into the back of the stove, as was warned in the video. With the help of Wendee and Karen, we finally figured out my model numbers and which parts where correct. I ordered the parts and all arrived the next day except for the Broiler element which arrived in 2 days. I installed the new Baking Element myself. Took longer to figure out which curcuit braker to turn off. In about 30 minutes I had a brand new Baking Element in my oven working perfectly. On the following day, I installed the Broiler Element. I first tried to purchase the part directly from GE but they were not helpful at all. Remembering that I had purchased a transmission and other parts from appliance parts pros for my old Maytag washer before, I searched their easy-to-use parts catalog and there it was!!!! I asked for confirmation from Customer Service and after 2 says Research confirmed that it was the correct part. Turned off power to oven. Removed the oven door. Unscrewed and removed the metal plate. Pulled element off wires and attached them to the new element. (This took needle nose pliers and many attempts. Needed dexterous fingers and good eyesight.) Put everything back. Read more

I ordered a replacement kit from Appliance Parts Pros. I talked with Janice to be sure I got the correct parts, etc. She was very helpful. The kit was received 2 days later and it took less than 2 hours to make the full replacement of all 4 elements. They also had a video available that proved to be very helpful. Little procrastination paid off. With only 50% capability I knew it is time to call the appliancepartspros. They shipped me parts within 3 days. It was practical to fix both at the time. All I needed was to disconnect power at range breaker box, grab a screwdriver to lift top open, a 16 inch or so piece of old 2×4 wood to keep the top top of stove lifted, so I could access heating elements from underneath.
