Used video and took apart dru, this was extremely helpful. I bypassed the belt and door switch. Tested gas valves (gas disconnected) with multimeter. Found that the igniter worked the first gas valve, but the second gas valve would not open and the igniter would stay on. Check compressor with my Hotwire kit I made when I worked for GE. When removing the compressor relay it broke in pieces. Ordered and replaced new relay, overload & run capacitor. Still did not work. Removed the heater of course and installed the part. Very easy to do no need to remove the drum, just top cover, control panel, and front door assembly. Remove the one screw holding heater, remove blue wire, turn heater CCW to the 8 o'clock poisiton. Install in the reverse order. This is the secound one in a month if it fails again i'll just bypass it and install a 25 AMP fuse.

I removed the front panel and observed the heating element while running the dryer. It was cycling off every minute or so and staying off for several minutes.
