I had removed three screws behind the control board cover of the washer, to access the old lid switch. I checked the continuety of the of the switch with a multimeter and it obviously failed the the test by displaying infinity of <1, rather than being 0. This is the funnel guide and lever assembly located in the dispenser area of the refrigerator door. It directs ice from the internal chute into your glass and includes the lever you press to activate the dispenser.
