GE Dishwasher would beep intermittently over the course of about a month. It then began to shut itself off. I would have to reset the breaker to get it to come on. Just removed from front and the console. I wound up replacing the control board because the technician that I had come out said that's what was wrong and it would cost $250 to fix. I replaced the control board and it didn't fix the problem. After doing more research and searching out the error codes, I discovered I had to replace the console. so i did. Unplugged stove. Removed six 1/4 inch socket head screws from back panel. Removed back panel. Removed plug on the back of the OCB. Removed OCB. Used Philips screwdriver to remove four mounting screws (and cracked pieces of the mounting holes). If you can get to this point, installing the new OCB is pretty self explanatory. Read more

I went to appliancepartspro.com and found out that the problem could be the main circuit board. I went on and ordered the part, knowing it could be returned if necessary, but it was like music to my ears when I installed the part, myself, and turned the power back on. Easy. Had to remove the door from the main body of the dishwasher and then take the outer door apart from the inner door. Find a good video that showed how to do this but it was not exactly like the model of GE dishwasher that I have. Once you know how to remove the panel it went fairly quick. But in removing the inner door I broke the one end of Attach Strip Rh so I order a new one plus in taking the Graphics Asm apart to get to the UI board the small tab that holds everything together broke off. The circuit board under the machine needed replacing. Pretty easy if you are willing to not force it in. Two screws, four all different plugs, two guide holes for the wiring. I bought a latch but did not need to install it. Read more

Took off the the front panel. First removed the knobs, then the four screws above each knob stem. With oven door open removed four screws under the front door oven panel. Last removed the two side screws on the oven control. Keeping hold of the front unit. Then removed the pigtail attached to the panel and the ground screw. Now the unit is detached.
