Compressor not running. Eric A. • Canton , MA • December 16, 2017
My freezer and fridge were blowing warm and all my food in there was garbage... Lights and fans all working. Looked up some YouTube videos on what it could be. Bad compressor least likely culprit even though it wasn't running. It wasn't doing that "click whirr" thing if it were trying to start. It just flat out wasn't running. So, check the overload and relay that attach right on the side of the compressor. I did, and I shook them. They jingled like loose change=BAD. Ordered new ones and...

Part Number: 5304456667
This micro switch detects door or lid position and tells the appliance when the door is closed so cycles can start or safety interlocks stay engaged. It restores reliable door sensing and helps prevent operation with the door open. What it does:
- Acts as a position sensor that completes or breaks the control circuit when the door/lid is closed or opened
- Keeps the appliance from starting or continuing a cycle if the door is open (safety interlock)
- Common symptom fix: appliance won't start, stops mid-cycle, or shows door-related error codes
- Small electrical switch designed to mount at the door latch or frame and connect to the appliance wiring harness
What's included: One micro switch Install notes:
- Disconnect power (unplug or shut off breaker) before attempting service
- Access may require removing panels, trim, or the door latch assembly; keep track of screws and fasteners
- Observe wiring orientation and connector positions; replace exactly as removed or tag wires

Broken fan switch Darrell Q. • Leesburg , VA • May 09, 2016
This replacement part looks nothing like the original because the original is two parts, the replacement is one part. The original has a switch with 3 wires coming out of it that go into a "block" screwed to the bottom tray. And this "block" has 2 wires that come out of it going to the fan. With the replacement, the block is eliminated and the 2 wires go directly to the switch. Easy install.

- Disconnect power to the appliance before inspecting or replacing the harness
