I needed to replace the light bulb in the oven, but forgot to turn off the breaker and unplug the oven (NEVER DO THIS)!!! There was a spark, and my control board was fried. The range top worked fine, so I knew if was the control board (if you no longer see the digital clock and none of the buttons are responsive, it's a pretty good indicator that it's toast). I measured the continuity of the defrost heater element and the thermostat and they were both good. This only left the main control board. I ordered all three because it was only a matter of time before either the heating element or thermostat went bad. I only changed out the control board and now have the other parts on hand for an immediate fix in the future. Appliance pros were awesome. I was told by the person who took my order that I could find an instruction video on you tube . So I went there and follow those instructions. The repair went well although I did have a slight problem with the door latch and the soap dispenser lever. They both fell out as I was trying to install the timer, but I went back to the video and although it didn't show how to replace these two parts I was able to see how they were placed and was able to figure it out from there. Compressor not running. Check power going to it and nothing. Tested ohms on the compressor. 8-10 ohms approx Lights and display all working normal so I assumed the main board was ok Replaced the inverter board. Confirmed there was 4-5bdc on the red and white trigger plug on the inverter. Replaced control board with OEM part from ApplianceParts Pro - fit exactly and remedied the problems. Simple to replace - turn off power (circuit breaker), remove internal door panel, remove control board cover and unplug wires/LED leads (the LED lead connectors on the board have a square tension slip ring around them that hold the leads - just pull these up away from board and they will release the leads) and then remove the controller board housing. I did a little research on the internet. I check to make sure it was getting power with Ohm meter. I took the front panel off to see what I could find. I found 2 dead roaches in the control board box and there was some brown stuff on the control board. I checked the price to replace the part online and local.
