Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Jenn Air stove JDS9860CDB00 error code 1d11 oven not shutting off.   Joe D. • New Berlin , WI • March 20, 2019

First of all Appliance Parts Pros is the best!! I would not have had the confidence to make this repair myself without their outstanding videos and Q&A sections on their website. And their prices for parts are very competitive. Like many stories on the website, my oven would heat up beyond the temperature set point. When it reached the target temperature, the lower heating element (I think this is the “bake” element) would shutoff, but the top element (“broil” element I believe) would remain on... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ice bucket auger broke up front where the ice is pushed out of the freezer   Mark D. • Columbia , MO • March 25, 2017

This was a little more involved than I originally thought, but after watching the video on the site it wasn't so bad. They walk you through each step verbally and visibly so you can see exactly what to do. Replacing the auger took around 20 minutes, and only that long because the screw holding the ice shield was a bit tough to turn. I just applied gentle pressure and turned slowly until it became loose. The rest was fairly easy, but I did get a small cut from the ice crusher blades. Nothing... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Error code F10   Dan H. • Culver City , CA • December 27, 2019

Bought a used Frigidaire 36 inch stove. The broiler didn't come on but the burners lit and the stove worked so I made do for about 4 or 5 years with that. Then the F10 code came up and it wouldn't stop beeping until I unplugged it. I figured the electronics/circuit board was probably bad and ordered a replacement. I was confused about what part to order. The parts list includes "Control Panel" and "Clock - Timer". Turns out the control panels are the glass panel on the front of the stove... Read more

High Limit Thermostat
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP661566

Thermostat has 1/4 inch terminals.

The High Limit Thermostat is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. This safety feature is designed to prevent the dishwasher from overheating by shutting off the power if the internal temperature exceeds a certain limit. It acts as a safeguard against potential hazards, such as fires, and ensures the dishwasher operates within safe temperature ranges.

Over time, the high limit thermostat can become defective due to normal wear or electrical issues within the dishwasher. A malfunctioning thermostat may not accurately respond to temperature changes, which can lead to overheating or the dishwasher not reaching the necessary temperature for optimal cleaning.

Symptoms of a bad High Limit Thermostat include:

  • Dishwasher not starting or completing a cycle
  • The dishwasher stops heating water, affecting cleaning performance
  • Overheating, which could potentially damage dishes or the dishwasher itself

This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

This part fixes the following symptoms
  • Not drying dishes properly

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Whirlpool dishwasher not fully cleaning or drying dishes.   Andrew M. • Seattle , WA • January 05, 2020

My Whirlpool dishwasher (wdf520padm3) started leaving food on dishes and not drying dishes as well as it used to, even when I ran the 'high temp' and 'heavy' cleaning options. This started happening after about 3 years of operation. To try to diagnose the issue, I started the diagnostics cycle (see below for instructions on how to do this). However, the 'Clean' LED is also not working on my dishwasher, so I was unable to read the error code after the service cycle finished. I decided to... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Displayed e1 error code the root cause was the sensor (thermistor) that got ripped off of the roof of the freezer   Jon S. • Tuscarora , MD • February 21, 2015

Symptoms of a bad Thermal Fuse include:

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Thermal fuse and control panel for my maytag dishwasher both failed and needed to be replaced   Richard C. • Cape Canaveral , FL • November 01, 2014

Ordered a new thermal fuse from your website last week and installed it three days ago. This is the second fuse in one year that needed to be replaced. The dishwasher was purchased new in 2012. Ice maker stopped working or producing misshapen ice? This complete assembly replaces a faulty ice maker. Moderate DIY repair, about 1 hour with basic tools.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Ice maker quit working.   Lee H. • Cleveland , MN • June 04, 2020

This was easier then I made it. Originally took the actual ice maker out without removing the whole system from the door. There are 3 silver screws that do that hold the whole mechanism in place, as opposed to the 5 white screws that hold the ice maker in place. With the entire assembly out it was a matter of routing the ground wire, retaping the wires, and then the whole assembly went back into the door without a problem. The heating element had a break in the heater coils, so I replaced it with a new one from Appliance Parts Pros.
