Accumulation of rime ice in freezer on french door refrigerator Raniel S. • Cary , NC • May 13, 2016
Did some online research and everything pointed to the fact that moisture was getting into the freezer and therefore the seal was not doing it's job. I ran my finger along the seal and sure enough I detected cold air coming out of one corner of the seal. I ordered the appropriate part from Appliance Parts Pros (APP) but decided to test my diagnosis by installing thin weather stripping in the affected area. I checked the freezer the next day and saw no accumulation of any more Rime ice so...

Stripped worm gear this is the fourth time in 6 years my wife uses this 6 quart mixer a lot! Philip R. • Wichita , KS • March 06, 2015
This time I replaced the front and rear bearings and thrust bearing and all the gears. The hardest part is thoroughly cleaning out all the old grease. After re-greasing and assembly mixer ran like new. I wish a more robust worm gear was available.
A snap ring plier is a must for this job.

The Drive Shaft Seal is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. It plays a role in preventing water from leaking out of the tub and onto the drive system. This seal ensures that the connection between the drive shaft and the washing machine tub remains watertight, protecting the mechanical components from water damage and corrosion.
Causes of a bad drive shaft seal include aging and deterioration of the material, excessive load sizes that strain the washer, and foreign objects caught between the seal and the shaft, which can lead to tears or breaks.
Symptoms of a bad Drive Shaft Seal include:
- Water leakage from the underside of the washing machine
- Unusual noises during the spin cycle
- A visible tear or damage to the seal itself
- Increased vibration and movement of the machine during operation
This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

Ice would not dispense Annie V. • Missouri City , TX • February 23, 2016
My refrigerator was not dispensing ice. I could hear the motor activating but noticed the ice auger was not turning. My old drive shaft was stripped on both ends. Video was very helpful and it was an easy fix for someone with little handyman experience.
Received my order much faster than expected! The parts arrived the next day and paid for the standard shipping charge. I live in Texas.

The Washer Door Switch is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. This component is crucial for ensuring the washer operates safely by detecting whether the door is open or closed. The door switch prevents the washer from starting or continuing its cycle when the door is open, and it allows the machine to function only when the door is securely closed.
Symptoms of a failing Washer Door Switch include:
- The washer not starting or stopping unexpectedly during a cycle
- Error codes related to door closure issues displayed on the washer's control panel
- The washer door not locking properly or the lock mechanism not engaging
- The washer continuing to operate with the door open
Causes of a bad door switch can include wear and tear from frequent use, damage from repeated opening and closing of the door, electrical faults such as short circuits, or physical damage from mishandling or impact.
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with some models from Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore.
This part fixes the following symptoms
-
Will not drain
-
Pumps but will not spin
-

The lid shut-off switch is located behind the lid How About That. I order the plastic ball the hold the lid in place plus the lid shut off switch. I watched the video that AppliancePartsPros.com has on how to replace the lid and the plastic balls. The Door Gasket is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. This gasket is designed to create a watertight seal around the dishwasher door, preventing water from leaking out during wash cycles. It ensures that the dishwasher operates efficiently by keeping water inside the unit, maintaining optimal cleaning performance, and protecting your kitchen from water damage.
Causes of a bad door gasket can include regular wear and tear from frequent use, exposure to high temperatures and harsh detergents, or damage from debris and foreign objects. Over time, these factors can lead to the gasket becoming brittle, cracked, or deformed, compromising its sealing ability.
Symptoms of a bad door gasket include:
- Water leaking from the dishwasher door during or after a cycle
- Visible cracks, tears, or deformities in the gasket
- The dishwasher door not closing properly or requiring extra force to close
- Mold or mildew buildup on the gasket
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Dishwasher was leaking from the bottom front Alicia M. • Morganton , NC • January 12, 2015
I thought it was the gasket so I ordered a new one. While waiting for it to arrive I read some other forums where I read that sometimes the air vent on the front could be dirty and cause leaking. I popped out that vent cover and it was clogged. Using an old toothbrush and a tiny paint brush I cleaned all of the gunk out. No more leak even with the old gasket in place. I'll save the new gasket for when I need it in the future.

This is a beige magnetic door gasket that attaches around the perimeter of the refrigerator's fresh food compartment door, forming an airtight seal when closed. It prevents warm air from entering the compartment and keeps cold air from escaping. Replace this gasket if the door doesn't seal tightly, you notice condensation forming around the door edges, frost buildup inside, or if the gasket is cracked, torn, or loose.

Door seals were flattened and moisture was accumulating inside (energy save was off) Thomas A. • Oswego , IL • October 18, 2019
The right door seal and the freezer door seal are easily removed and replaced. They just pull out of the slot. These 2 new gaskets push in easily. The left door has the French Door Mullion, that blocks the removal of the door gasket.
There are two screws in the middle that holds it on, and there is a spring at the bottom of the mullion that keeps the mullion in place. The spring can easily be removed, or left in place. There is an electrical connector in the middle of the mullion. As suggested...
