Just removed from front and the console. I wound up replacing the control board because the technician that I had come out said that's what was wrong and it would cost $250 to fix. I replaced the control board and it didn't fix the problem. After doing more research and searching out the error codes, I discovered I had to replace the console. so i did. My Advantium worked fine except the clock and cooking instructions were dim and bounced in a circular pattern over the left side of the display. I tried unplugging it and once or twice that seemed to help. When I finally decided to take the control panel off I had a difficult time until I saw an old remark from a 2009 forum discussion from a guy that said there were about a dozen screws to remove to get to the control panel. I went to appliancepartspro.com and found out that the problem could be the main circuit board. I went on and ordered the part, knowing it could be returned if necessary, but it was like music to my ears when I installed the part, myself, and turned the power back on. Easy. The circuit board under the machine needed replacing. Pretty easy if you are willing to not force it in. Two screws, four all different plugs, two guide holes for the wiring. I bought a latch but did not need to install it. Read more

My husband took the panel off. Check different things. Talked to someone at Appliance Parts. He told him some things to test. It was the timer that needed replacing. So happy to have my dryer working again! :) Read more

Fixed it by replacing the electronic control board. Only 30 min. to fix. (See further down for effort to diagnose the problem.) Most of this "fixing time" was spent removing the control panel to access the control board that is attached to it. My freezer has the control panel located in the top center of the door. Easy fix, first I unplugged the dryer. Then removed the 6 Philips head screws on head unit back panel. Photographed wiring on timer. Removed the 1 torx screw holding the timer assy in place, the front panel knob was already off, would no longer stay on. Removed the wires from the timer assy, removed the timer, replaced it with new one, reinstalled torx screw. Reattached the wires to the positions removed from. First I replaced the flickering digitron after reading elsewhere that it may be just a weak display. The new digit on was still flickering but a little differently. Our oven was still working with either display until suddenly it wasn't one morning.
