While trying to fix the problem I broke the knob. Appliance Parts Pros.com had the part delivered in 2 days! After looking at the video I decided there was a poor ground at burner #1. Removal of burner confirmed my suspicion. Years of use “spills” has insulated the burner from a good ground, thus preventing a good spark. Removal of black residue cleared the problem. I am now in the process of cleaning the remaining 4 burners just to be sure. Read more

• Timer will not advance

Replaced above parts, easy to do, looks like a new stove. Needed to pry open knob stem slot segments very slightly to remove broken plastic from previous knobs. Spreading stem slot metal sides too much and they will break. With slots cleaned out, pinch stem sides almost together for new knobs to slide on. I ordered the timer and knob on Monday, they arrived around noon on Tuesday, and within an hour I had them installed and back in business. I was amazed how quickly the parts got here. The online video showing the procedure step by step was very helpful. Instead of disconnecting all the wires and having to keep up with which one went where, I moved each wire one by one and made sure I didn't get any of them in the wrong place. Replaced the ignitor glow bar and deflector oven (which had a hole burned through it). Screws stripped upon disassembly of original deflector oven and needed to be replaced as well. Read more

The knob broke off the plastic arm that came out of timer. Had to replace timer and knob. Very easy repair. Read more

We recently purchased a house with Jenn-Air appliances. The previous owner had used something to clean the knobs on the stove that removed the imprint. Ordering these was easy, they fit with no problem and are manufacture initial product quality. Very Pleased. The only suggestion I would have is to provide instructions on how to install the oven door gasket. I have not attempted that yet but will soon. Read more
