Disconnected power cord checked for voltage at the outlet and found voltage and polarity was correct. Next opened console and checked power available through EMI filter to board. Filter checked out ok, checked output from fuse on control board and found no DC voltage available. Ordered new board and filter, best to change both as a pair. Installed new items and returned to service.

I unplugged the freezer, removed the old control board by prying it out with my hands and then pressed in the new control board with my hands. The freezer functioned normally after it was plugged into the wall outlet again. Someone with large hands or short fingernails might benefit from the use of a straight blade screwdriver while prying out the broken control board.
