Tub Seal
Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00613084

The Tub Seal is an OEM part for Bosch washing machines. This part prevents water from leaking from the rear part of the drum where it connects to the machine's other components. This seal is specifically engineered to handle the rigorous environment of a washing machine, dealing with constant exposure to water, high spin speeds, and fluctuations in temperature.

Causes of deterioration in a tub seal include aging and wear over time, chemical damage from detergents, and physical stress from unbalanced loads or excessive spin speeds.

Symptoms of a bad Tub Seal include:

  • Water leaking from the back of the washer, especially during or after the spin cycle
  • Unusual noises such as grinding or squeaking, which may indicate that water has seeped into bearings or other components
  • An increase in humidity or wetness around and behind the machine
  • Rust or corrosion on nearby metal parts, suggesting prolonged exposure to leaking water

This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Washer would only spin.   Byron V. • Bellevue , MI • February 04, 2020

Found the wonderful parts diagrams you most generously share online and a couple of YouTube videos . I determined it should be repairable. In my cast the agitator shaft was frozen (rusted) in place. I was very fortunate to have been able to eventually remove it with the use of a lot of BP penetrating oil and heat. Long and short the replacement parts fit perfectly and the washer is running like new. Special thanks to the online support make my repair possible. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Lg washer/dryer combo unit shook upper counter balance weight loose damaging the mount lugs on the tub cover and tore the tub gasket   Christine V. • Saluda , VA • March 28, 2020

The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. As it would start to loosen up (as evidenced by the loud banging noise exhibited during operation); I'd shut it down, pull the top off, remove the weight (it was almost always half rattled off at this point), wrap the mount lugs with friction tape (the plastic lugs were being worn down/chaffed by the balance weight), put the weight back... Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You 1 water leaking on the floor at left side and 2 occasionally tub filling a number of inches when sitting   Kenneth S. • San Carlos , CA • April 15, 2016

1. Sleeve for input, Injector valve, nozzle and seal for input fixed this problem. Probably the main part that was the trouble was a deformed Injector Valve which is a rubber tube with an internal retention groove at the wide part that grips the Nozzle. The Sleeve and the Nozzle are hard plastic parts that basically looked fine, but I replaced them anyway while I was in there. Additionally I replaced the rubber Seal for Input which seals the plastic input fitting to the tub just to make sure... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The washer appeared to be leaking   Michael M. • Newbury , MA • December 14, 2015

Based on info around the web and your site I chose to replace all of the bellowed hoses (3) in the machine, as I did not know which bellow was leaking without taking the washer apart first.
