Good ole Maryland with its 70 degree weather one day and a snow storm the next! 55 mph winds do not have any sympathy with above-ground transformers in a snows storm. I watched YouTube videos for two days. I figured out it was the inverter board.I replaced the inverter board and it worked !!! I had to buy a meter to make sure the compressor was still good before I ordered the part. Read more

I replaced the belt and the pump. It now works like it is new again! I am glad that I purchased the belt installation tool. It made replacing the belt very easy. I also purchased the Control Assembly which I did not install. It wasn't needed to repair the washer but I will keep it in case it is needed for future repairs. I am not new to APP, fixed a tub belt on a Maytag dryer in the past. My frig started getting warm so I went onto to one of those "lists" sites and found a appliance repair place. I bought the replacement knobs from Appliance Parts Pros.com and they were much better knobs that what originally came with the unit. They are actually metal and the plastic posts that connect with the range are a much higher grade plastic. To be honest I think the stove works better than it did when it was new. Some of the original knobs may have been broken when we purchased the unit. Replacement took under 5 minutes for all of the knob. Oh....and by the way....they appear to be the same... Read more

Then I saw the lever arm on the other half of the door, which by position had to be the way that the timer interacts with the soap dispenser. Ordered both parts and got them in 2 days, removed 3 screws on back panel of dryer and removed defective timer , installed wires on new timer and put back in place and installed new knob , very easy repair only took 10 minutes and dryer was back up and running Read more

I found exploded parts view of oven and looked for oven sensor probe and control card parts. I also looked at great videos and read past repair stories. I decided the problem had to be one of the two parts (probe or card) and ordered both. I decided that the probe should be changed first rather than involve a circuit card. I changed the probe and tested the oven and it works again. Read more

Replaced timer, thermostat, a thermal fuse, the pair of thermal cutoff switches and finally the heater element. Hard to say what the final fix was that did the trick -- I am guessing it was the heater element although the old one appeared to have good continuity.
