Ge WH23X10028 Washer Drain Pump OEM Part

I drained the pump and removed coins etc from pump drain screen. This did not solve the problem, so I called Slagers, our local appliance store in Iowa City. The repair man came out two days later in the AM. He drained the pump again and checked the codes--he had to use our wireless internet because Sprint would not work from our house to determine the error code problem. He said it was the pump. I assumed he would call his Parts Dept for price and availability. Wrong assumption! He thought a new pump was about $150. He said he would get back to me later with a price and then they would order it and call us when it came in so we could make another appt. to have pump installed. While waiting for his call I checked your site and watched the replacement video--looked really simple to do. He called about 4PM and said his internet was down and wasn't able to order the part. I told him that wasn't acceptable service and that I would order the pump since it was readily available and install it myself. I received the pump two days later and installed it myself in less than 15 minutes with only a Phillips screwdriver and pliers--checked rinse and drain cycle and worked perfectly, My wife was elated and there was peace again in our house. I felt this was a fairly common part since it is used in many different brands of washers and his GE dealership should of been able to order the part while he was there if they didn't! Have it in stock. I saved about 5 days of additional down time for the Washer by doing the repair myself. Thanks for your good service.WCVH6260FWW

After watching your video about the hidden filter, I checked it and found that it was clogged. Unfortunately, unclogging it did not fix the problem, as my pump had burned out. I followed your repair video and had the pump replaced in about 15 minutes. You and Google saved me several hundred dollars in repair costs. Thanks!

I had a repairman come out to tell me what was wrong with the washer and give me an estimate of cost to repair. He quoted the repair at $309 parts and labor. I order the pump from appliancepartspros.com for $151.36 shipped and replaced the pump myself in about 20 minutes. It was a very easy repair and the part was an exact match.

Drained water, disconnected two hoses, removed two screws, disconnected two wires to the pump, removed pump, put in new pump, screwed it down, connected hoses, attached wires.

I didn't even try to trouble shoot it at first because I thought it was prob in the controls or something else beyond me. But the book said it wouldn't do anything if the pump went out. After reading all I could in the book, I found several videos online. The more helpful ones were found when I searched with my model number. I didn't look at the videos on this site because I had it figured out by then. But I had ordered parts from here before and, once again, they were fast and right. I ordered late Thurs night and had the pump by Sat afternoon. And my washer was actually under warranty, but there was not one of their repairmen in the area, and my regular guy was still a week out (he's also an air cond man and it was HOT outside). Didn't know if they'd cover it or not, but they did! But waiting a week was out of the question if I could fix it--I'm 20 min from my son's small washer, and 40 mins from town and my mother with Alzheimer's requires MUCH laundry. Wish I'd have just fixed it myself rather than calling anyone to start with--it was broken two days before I started troubleshooting it myself. A small ViseGrip locking plier is great for removing those hose clamps!
