So I look up on the internet and search for Frigidaire then your ads comes up: AppliancePartsPros.com. Search was easy, put the model number, enter, then the picture comes up & question ask: where do you think the missing/ broken parts that what you need the location at. Very easy! This was a 2000 model so rather than just replace the defrost timer which was visibly burnt on the terminals, we just did everything. The cold control, defrost timer, thermostat, defrost heater and the compressor capacitor were all replaced. I had the same issue on my older unit and tore it apart replacing one item at a time over a three month period so on an older one i suggest do it all while it is apart. Read more

We replaced the main circuit board and the LED started to work and the condenser fan worked, but all we had were relay clicking sounds, but no cooling. The compressor had become so hot trying to work when the main circuit board was amiss, that it had popped the over temperature sensor on its side. Before we replaced the board, my wife tried to replace just the element. We had one we had ordered several years ago when this same thing happened. When that didn't work we replaced the board and could see where the old board was damaged so we figured this was the solution. 1. After hearing a loud noise on the freezer side of unit about halfway up, I started investigating what it could be? My conclusion was evaporator motor or evaporator fan blade. I ordered a new switch from APP and fixed my fridge. However, the video posted for this repair on this site is not applicable to newer refrigerator models. I have a 2015 GE GTE18IHCRSS and had to drop the control housing (#432 in the diagram) to attach the wire/plug assembly to the switch. Only had to remove the front screw with a 1/4" nut driver and that provided enough of a gap for me to plug in the switch. I removed to the cover to the coil, defrosted coil with a heat gun and checked the heater strip resistance. I set timer to defrost by hand to make sure everything was working. There was damage to the temp control sensor. Both parts were on your web site at a good price, ordering was easy. The parts were in the mail two days later. I ordered a replacement handle and screws. The process was very easy with the help of one of your "pros" who found all the parts needed and took my order. I didn't realize I was getting both a refrigerator door handle and a freezer door handle in one set, but now we have the freezer handle if we need it. Removing the old handle and installing the replacement was very easy. It looks great, in fact the replacement is metal, whereas the original was plastic, so it looks better than it ever did! I originally ordered the Fan motor from a appliance dealer. I waited for 5 days for it to arrive. In the meantime I scavenge a motor from a junk refrigerator from the dump.
