The Oven Ignitor is an OEM replacement part for LG ovens. It is a critical component responsible for igniting the gas burners or heating elements within the oven, allowing it to reach and maintain the desired cooking temperatures.
Symptoms of a bad oven ignitor include:
Causes of an oven ignitor failure can range from general wear and tear over time, to electrical or mechanical malfunctions, to obstructions or buildup preventing proper ignition. This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.
We were getting an intermittent F19 code on our lower oven mainly. This code gets triggered when the oven fails to heat up to a minimum temperature within a specific amount of time. I figured this was being caused by an ignition failure so I bought this new ignitor. As it turns out, if you have a double oven then you will have two ignitors. Just keep that in mind in case you are thinking about replacing both or you are seeing errors in both ovens. The ignitor in the lower oven is located below... Read more

The Magnetron Thermostat is an OEM part for LG microwaves and built-in ranges. Its primary function is to monitor the temperature and ensure that it remains within a safe operating range. If the temperature exceeds the preset limit, the thermostat will interrupt the power supply to the magnetron, preventing overheating and potential damage.
Causes of a faulty magnetron thermostat can include electrical malfunctions, component failures, or physical damage. These factors can result in issues such as erratic heating, microwave not heating properly, or the appliance shutting off unexpectedly.
Symptoms of a bad magnetron thermostat may include:
This OEM LG part can also be used on Kenmore/Sears appliances.
Did some Google searches and most comments concerning this issue on LG stoves indicated the high temperature thermostat malfunctions when using the self cleaning function. This malfunction causes complete loss of power for the entire stove and locks the oven door. Since I wasn't completely sure if it was the thermostat or where it was for that matter, I called a service tech to troubleshoot the stove. He was able to determine it was the thermostat and further tested his findings by... Read more

Fix an oven door that won't stay open or slams shut with this range door spring. Simple DIY repair requiring only a Phillips screwdriver, 30 minutes.
Replaced the cheap plastic lever supporter with another LG OEM cheap plastic lever supporter. I should have bought two as I can see this problem happening again. Microwave won't turn on or has no power? A failed thermostat often causes complete power loss. Moderate DIY repair requires disassembly to access.
I checked for the reasons there was no power to the microwave. Then I talked with the technician at AppliancePartsPros who stated that it was most likely a blown or defective fuse. My LG microwave has two thermal fuses, a fuse assembly with two prongs and a short (1 inch) barrel type fuse. I replaced all of them after viewing YouTube videos and then reviewing the diagram for my microwave on the AppliancePartsPrps website. That was very helpful in locating where the fuses were installed. It... Read more

I took off the front control panel with a Phillips screwdriver. I used a mirror to locate some of the screws under the panel. Being handy and common sense helped a lot. I am very experienced with fixing stuff but will admit that i did get a bit frustrated. A second set of hands was helpful but not necessary. I took off the shroud that goes around the knob and that was a mistake. It was difficult to put back on and was not required to fix the problem. TAKE PHOTOS AS YOU PROGRESS and don’t lose... Read more
