The Knob is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool washers and dryers. The control knob lets you control cycle settings. Remove the knob by pulling it straight off its post.
Causes of a bad knob can include wear and tear over time resulting in loose or unstable function, cracks or chips in the plastic housing, or damage due to impact or abuse during removal from the post.
Symptoms of a bad knob include:
- Difficulty rotating or selecting settings
- Settings that do not stay in place after selection
- Cracked or broken knob housing
- Knob constantly moving out of the desired setting
