This set of two slide shoes is a genuine OEM replacement parts-set for a snowblower. Slide shoes rest on the bottom of the auger housing and help it to glide smoothly against the ground. This lets the auger gather snow without the housing bumping up and down. Every snowblower has two slide shoes: one on each side of the auger housing. They are positioned so that the center openings face outwards. Slide shoes take a lot of abuse while sliding along the ground. Even though they are made of sturdy steel, they can still be banged and dented to the point that they need replacing.
