This authentic OEM part is a control board for refrigerators. The control board is the main circuit board that controls the refrigerator's essential functions, such as adjusting and maintaining temperature. If the refrigerator is no longer cooling and failing to maintain its desired temperature, the control board might need to be replaced. Luckily, replacing this part is a relatively simple process. To replace the control board assembly, start by unplugging the refrigerator. After that, proceed to open the freezer door and unscrew the side panel to gain access to the old control board. Once accessed, remove the wire harness and any individual wires attached to the control board assembly. Unfasten the mounting screws holding the assembly in place, and pull the control board out. Set it to the side, and proceed to install the new board. Reattach the wires in their correct terminals, and reinstall the side panel. This genuine replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA brand refrigerators.
