Craig H San Carlos , CA April 29, 2016 Appliance: Model VIKING MODEL VGIC365BSS RANGE 4 of my 6 burners would not spark to light the gas I replaced the existing Tytronics spark module with en exact replacement. These things only seem to last 3 to 5 years on my Viking stove. I learned years ago to buy an exact replacement, not a clone, as otherwise the wiring order may be different. The clones will work, but you may send hours trying different wiring combinations. By using this new exact replacement part I was done with the swap in less than 10 minutes and had my stove working again like new. Tip: A small "screwdriver ratchet" that uses screwdriver bits and a 90 degree ratcheting handle is very helpful to get to some of the screws easily. Michael A Jasper , GA August 12, 2022 Appliance: Model VIKING VGSU 1024 Viking cooktop spark module would not work on one burner. Purchased replacement spark module. The module is located under the cooktop so had to replace by squeezing under the cabinet to get access. There is a metal plate that covers the module that needed to be removed-four screws. Unplugged the AC to the cooktop and unscrewed the module from the cooktop. Then, one connection at a time, I removed each wired push on connected to new module. After connecting all wires I reattached the module to the cooktop. Amazingly it now works just fine. Jeff W Manhattan Beach , CA August 21, 2020 Appliance: Model VGIC4856GSS No spark on left side of 6 burner viking oven Replaced spark module. Just turned off breaker for oven and swapped out the module. It all can be done from the top of the stove. No need to pull out from the wall. Module is inside a small aluminum box. Remove one screw to remove left side burners. Remove two screws to remove aluminum box (these screws also have a ground wire attached) Swapped wires 1:1, removed blue spark module (3 more screws) and re-assembled. Works great, took about 60 minutes. Could probably do it in 30 next time. Easy fix. Plus gave me an opportunity to do some cleanup (which took much longer than the repair).
