This kit includes four rack studs for select dishwashers. The studs fasten compatible rack components and accessories to the wire dishrack, helping keep rows and attachments secure during loading and wash cycles. What it does:

Secures rack components and accessories to the dishwasher's wire rack
Replaces broken, worn, or missing studs that no longer hold firmly
Helps prevent rack items from detaching, shifting, or rattling during operation
Common symptoms: loose/missing studs, falling rack attachments, unstable tine rows or holders

What's included:

Four rack studs

Install notes:

Disconnect power; pull the rack out (remove it if needed) to access the work area
Match the orientation of the new studs to the originals
Insert and fully seat each stud through the rack wire and mating component
Check that the rack components are secure and the rack slides smoothly before running a cycle

The shelf support was broken for 5 years(!) I had to stack stuff under it in order to hole it up. I finally got fed up and in searching discovered that I could buy the little support to fix it.
