Leon F Sylmar , CA November 11, 2015 Appliance: KitchenAid Dishwasher KUDI24SEBL2 Loud dishwasher producing dirty dishes I nearly shelled out for a new Kitchenaid when I remembered APP and entered my model # just for fun. The interactive diagrams and install videos showed where all the parts "should" be, mine were badly disintegrated, so I replaced the damaged ones and swapped out all of the other easily accessible seals and bearings (also gave it a good and very disturbing cleaning). My parts surprisingly arrived next day and for about $40, the dishwasher is quiet and works like new again. Robert S Lovington , IL May 12, 2015 Lower spray arm retaining nut broke in dishwasher Nylon bearing wore thin allowing excess slop in spray arm. Spray arm caught basket as it was pulled out. Retaining nut broke off. Removed remaining portion of nut from dishwasher, replaced both bearings and retaining nut. Happily washing again. It took longer to type this than it did to make the repair. Randy N Elkhart , IN September 19, 2015 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL Inadequate cleaning of dishes / detergent residue all over the interior I cleaned all the jet nozzles with a toothpick and a pipe cleaner to remove the hard water deposits. I then replace the ring bearing under the bottom spray wand and the ring bearing under the upper spray wand. I also replaced the smaller radial ring bearing. Although none of them looked overly worn, it doesn't take much to cause the spray wands to spray inadequately. Then, I replaced the float and washer assembly. Although it appeared to work properly when I lifted up on it and let it down, it wasn't until I installed the new one that I found that the inside of the assembly was completely 'gunked' (my word). Both the pillar and the inside of the float were covered in a brown sticky grime that was no doubt keeping the float from working properly. Finally, I ran 1/2 cup of CLR in the Normal wash cycle. This helped to clean the interior of the dishwasher. I also used a gentle scouring pad to clean the interior and ran the dishwasher several times until the were no suds in the wash cycle.
