Whirlpool 12002533 Door Boot Seal OEM Part

I used the instructions from some of your previous customers. When I was ready to pull the inner tub from the outer tub, it pulled very hard. The front bearing had been HOT and really marked the shaft. The SEAL appeared to be almost plastic, not much left. I removed the seal from the Front bearing. This model had the original type seal with the plastic spacer behind the seal and in front of the front bearing.. BE SURE TO NOTE HOW THE PLASTIC SPACER CAME OUT--feet on spacer toward the face of the Front bearing. The seal went and also took the FRONT bearing with it. Next, I removed the rear bearing. You will need heavy duty SNAP RING pliers for the 2 3/4 inch snap ring at the rear of the back bearing. I was able to pull the rear bearing with a slide hammer puller. NOTE- the bearing was seated just at the edge of the SNAP RING groove. I was not lucky on the front bearing-it was taken out by grinding out the inner race and them grinding out the outer race. NOTE- the depth of the front bearing in the housing, just at the outer edge of the alum. housing. In the housing for the front and rear bearings, you will find a metal spacer. THE SPACER HAS A FLAT END ON ONE END AND A TAPERED END ON THE OPPOSITE END--Tapered end goes toward the REAR bearing-because that bearing is smaller. Clean the bearing housings well with emery cloth-so the bearing will go in a little easier than they came out. I also put NEVER -SEEZ on the housing and the outer edge of each bearing ( two unlike materials). Clean everything real well and follow the instructions for the seal. Hello All, My wife and I have been looking at washers and dryers recently. Not because ours were broken or not functioning properly, but because of a mold/mildew issue. The washer is a front load model that holds some moisture after use in the door seal/boot. Being our first front loader, we were unaware of the possible mold/mildew issue. We have owned the set for 11 years now and have lived with the issue for most of that time. My wife absolutely hates this and that is the main reason for us looking at new. As you know, you can very easily spend $2000-$3000 for the top line models. She was also not interested at all in another front loader. I purchased several parts and basically rebuilt my dryer last year but had not done anything to the washer. After thinking about it, I decided to do an internet search to see if I could replace the door boot seal. AppliancePartsPros was one of the first I checked out. After looking at their site, I quit my internet search and decided to purchase the seal from them. Any company that will make specific How To videos for their part installation is someone I want to do business with. Maybe I could have found the part for a few bucks less or maybe not. My point is; it is my pleasure to so business with an "old school" business that still cares about customer service. I'm in a service industry myself and appreciate people that care rather than a "who cares" attitude. My husband followed the YouTube video and made the repair. I helped him hold the wire while he connected the spring as it was difficult to stretch the spring while holding the wire in place. We called an appliance store to make the repair, but they refused to work on the Maytag Neptune. We have had a good experience with our Maytag Neptune washer and dryer, so after watching the video, we decided to make the repair ourselves. I am thrilled that the part arrived so quickly and the repair was relatively easy! Thank you for the quick service and especially for the repair video. I think I saved at least $1200 as I was thinking about purchasing a whole new set and now that is not necessary. We are happy customers!!

Basically rebuilt the washer from the ground up. Spent more money than a new washer but we have been so happy with the way this machine has worked over the last 19 years figured it would be money well spent.

I had trouble keeping the new seal in place while installing retaining cable, with the help of some 3m adhesive to hold it in place while installing the tub cable solved that problem. works good as new no more leaks. I wanted to thank your company for providing parts for these types of projects.
