Whirlpool W10823714 Surface Heating Element, Top Burner Element OEM Part

After reviewing information on your site, I took the cooktop apart and removed the 12" element, noting that it was shorted out and needed replacing. I ordered the part in the morning. I was expecting the part to arrive in 3-5 business days. The part was at my door the following morning! This is the 2nd time I've used this site to order parts - in both cases, I received the parts in a day or 2. I replaced the element and everything works as designed. This is my go-to site for appliance parts!! Thanks.

Watched a utube video and it was easy to fix

Purchased a replacement element from appliance part pros and replaced it myself. It was only a matter of removing a couple of screws and disconnecting two connectors then removing the top section of the stove and laying it upside down and then removing 5 screws that hold the element in and disconnecting the spade connectors and doing it all in reverse order. Took all of about 15 minutes. Just a note of convenience, before I removed the spade terminals from the old element I laid the new element over the old one and marked the connection posts and spade terminal with a number so matching up the connections would be easier.

Put in a new element.

First I ordered the replacement eye and then took the top off the range and proceeded to change the eye. The repair took about 30 minutes which included cleaning under the top of the range which had not been done since new because you really never have the top up let alone off to clean. The only tool required for the repair was a phillips screw driver.
