I need to get an infinite switch as well and eventually another burner. The coil was burned though on another burner. It seems this range decided to break down all at once. Shane L Russellville , AL August 08, 2015 Large sgove element burned out Purchased a replacement element from appliance part pros and replaced it myself. It was only a matter of removing a couple of screws and disconnecting two connectors then removing the top section of the stove and laying it upside down and then removing 5 screws that hold the element in and disconnecting the spade connectors and doing it all in reverse order. Took all of about 15 minutes. Just a note of convenience, before I removed the spade terminals from the old element I laid the new element over the old one and marked the connection posts and spade terminal with a number so matching up the connections would be easier. Dallas H Morristown , TN March 04, 2015 Appliance: Model MAYTAG SMOOTH TOP RANGE The large eye on my range was burned out First I ordered the replacement eye and then took the top off the range and proceeded to change the eye. The repair took about 30 minutes which included cleaning under the top of the range which had not been done since new because you really never have the top up let alone off to clean.
