Mitch S Mount Laurel , NJ January 21, 2019 Appliance: Whirlpool Electric Range WFE515S0ES0 Oven door will not shut completely I knew for sure that the hinge with the large spring was damaged, but elected to replace both hinges and receivers. Replacing the parts was fairly easy and would have taken me less then an hour. This model has thin metal covers over the hinge assemblies. I found that squeezing in the sides of the covers help to hold them in place on the hinge while reassembling the door. My only difficulty was putting the door back on the oven. It took a little maneuvering but I managed to get it. Now the door not only closes completely, but it opens more smoothly then before. Thank you to AppliancePartsPros for making it easy to order these parts and the support available. Caleb L Chicago , IL August 31, 2020 Bent oven door hinge. Purchased replacement parts. Began taking oven door apart to get at the hinges. Unfortunately the door is held together with magic. Once you remove a few of the screws everything just falls apart. It seems that pressure and the very tight tolerances make the door very sturdy but once you start removing pieces the integrity of the door just goes away. Putting it back together was very challenging. But my wife and I were able to get it accomplished. Not an easy task to say the least. John R Cedar Rapids , IA January 15, 2024 Appliance: Whirlpool Electric Range WFE530C0ES0 Door not completely closing hinge looks bent. I ordered the new hinges and replaced them. Videos I watched were very helpful in making that happen. Like other threads I read, I found the screws in the door hold many things together and putting them all back together was a bit of a challenge but eventually was successful. If I had to do it again, I would try to replace one side and not take all the screws out of the door and then move to the other side. When I re-watched the video, that person was able to do that. I also took off the door handle screws which were not necessary to remove in the end. Other than that the install was great and now I know how the oven door is suppose to act like. Very smooth with no clunk noise. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers

The hardest part of the repair was just getting the door back together correctly. Replacing the hinges was easy. Read More...
