Sean C Round Hill , VA August 17, 2015 Not all buttons work on oven So, this is a common problem, and the fourth time I have done this for someone in by neighborhood. Takes about 10 minutes, and requires very little skill. You simply unscrew the oven from it's mount points, pull it out a little bit, remove the four sheet metal screws holding the panel in place, unplug electronics, and plug the new panel in. Just did my neighbors with this one, too 8 minutes for the whole project. Kinda sad the original Whirlpool/Maytag/Jenn-air (they are all the same basically, like Toyota/Lexus, or Black & Deck/DeWalt) has a defect that lets the head of the oven melt the touch membrane, and you have to buy the whole panel to fix. But Appliance Parts Pro made it pretty easy and painless. Douglas N Fort Lauderdale , FL March 12, 2014 Appliance: Maytag 30" Built-In Electric Oven Self-Clean Non-Convect JJW8330DDB13 Broiler button on control panel was not working I bought this house recently. It has nice appliances in the kitchen including a Jenn Aire wall oven. I guess it was two months before I tried to use the broiler. Pressing the button on control panel did nothing. I was looking through documents the previous owner left and found a receipt from AppliancePartsPros.com showing he had bought a control panel a couple of years ago. I contacted him and he confirmed that it sounded like same problem. So I decided to order the same part again. Two years ago it was $140 now over $200! The part arrived well packed. Turned out to be entire fascia panel to which the control panel is attached. Even though all we had was an exploded diagram, my handyman was able to figure out that he had to unscrew oven from cabinet and slide out so he could replace the fascia panel. Took about 30 mins and now I have a working broiler. Beware the panel attaches with very thin ribbon cables which need a lot of care when removing and inserting. Jose O San Jacinto , CA November 21, 2016 Appliance: Maytag 30" Built-In Microwave/Electric Oven Combo Self-Clean JMW8330DAW16 Control panel did not fully work Replaced part. First I secured power to the oven unit. Then removed the oven door (watch your hands), then removed the trim on the sides and bottom keeping the oven unit in the cabinet using Phillips screwdriver. Once the trim is off pull out the oven approximately four inches in order to be able reach the two 1/4 in socket size screws holding the control panel in place. Then removed the flexible cables from connector. Detached the display portion from the panel by unscrewing 4 more 1/4 size screws. Remove the old panel and replace. Reverse steps for assembly. William P Round Rock , TX April 19, 2016 Appliance: Maytag 30" Built-In Electric Oven Self-Clean Non-Convect JJW8330DDS13 Buttons did not work on my oven This was an easy fix, it only required 2 beers First I turned off the power to the circuit then I pulled the 4 screws that held the oven in the opening within our cabinet, and removed the first 2 screws off of the right side of the panel, shifted the oven and removed the screws on the left side. I then had a beer!! hard work indeed! I gently lifted the retaining plastic for the ribbon cables, there are 2, the removed the 4 screws that held on the circuit board and reassembled the new panel by reversing the disassembly procedure. I turned back on the power circuit and tested each button, YAY they work!! screwed the oven back to the cabinet, sat down and had one more beer! another job done :-) Read More...
