This is a convection heating element for an oven, typically a circular or loop-shaped element located at the rear wall of the oven cavity near the convection fan. It provides even heat distribution when using the convection cooking mode. Replace this element if convection baking produces uneven results, the element shows visible damage or burn-through spots, or the convection mode fails to heat at all.
