I took pictures of the wiring before I took it apart and then removed the burner element from the glass tom, but I left all the wires attached. I removed the screws inside the oven door and the retainer rings holding the handle onto the glass. The hardest part of this repair was a) realizing that the easiest way to clean the oven door pieces is to remove the whole door and b) figuring out how to put the oven door back on. Doing (b) is infinitely easier if you stick two allen wrenches into the holes in the door hinge, but these holes ONLY appear when the door is fully open.
