Easy. Pulled the two screws that hold the top in place. Then lift the top and slide it forward 4 inches. Reach in and disconnect the two wiring harnesses (Squeeze the sides to release). Lift the entire top off and place it upside down on the table. Remove the four screws that hold the metal panel to the top. Flip this panel upside down. I replaced the hinges, which involved removing the door by opening it all the way, inserting a small allen wrench into the locking pin hole on each of the two hinges, partially closing the door and pulling it toward me. I then laid the door stainless steel face up on a table, removed the 8 screws from the edge and pulled the bottom of the face up and toward me. I had to take out the bottom drawer that holds pans. Disconnect the power and pull the oven out. Removed door, rear panel that held the screws for the side panel and lift up and out the side panel. After that it was straight forward as to replacing the hinge. Spent more time cleaning the florr where the oven was than installing the hinge. Read more

This oven was a Kenmore model #66595822003. I replaced both spring hinges. This oven was a white oven so it took the MFG# WP8053807 hinge (order two of them). They are the same hinge. No left or right. To get the door off the oven, open the door all the way open, I installed pins (preferably only 1/4" long) in the holes of both hinges. Determined that the LF infinite control switch contacts for the burner indicator light were stuck closed. I replaced the control as well as the knob as the knob felt loose on the control. Read more
