David P Chattanooga , TN October 07, 2024 Appliance: KitchenAid Refrigerator KSCS25FVMS03 Ice dispenser not dispensing ice driveshaft not spinning but motor starting The existing motor would come on when you pushed the door paddle for ice, but ice would not dispense. Determined there was an issue in the drivetrain. Had to replace the motor and gearbox assembly for the ice dispenser driveshaft. Also found a cracked driveshaft seal where the shaft enters the freezer compartment. Replacement parts fit perfect and now dispensing ice! Read More... Robert N Atlanta , GA June 01, 2014 Appliance: KitchenAid Refrigerator KSCS25FTMS00 The icemaker wouldn't dispense ice I called customer service and asked if it was more likely to be the motor or the control board. The CS person wouldn't diagnose, but she was willing to say that they sell many more motors than controller boards, so I ordered the motor. Then, right after I clicked purchase, I remembered I meant to buy a washer, so I quickly called CS. This time the CS person said she couldn't modify an existing order, but she was willing to ship out a washer without additional shipping charges. The motor an washer arrived sooner than expected, and my ice dispenser is working again. Read More...
