Linda M Kiel , WI September 25, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer GHW9300PW4 Our whirlpool duet washer was very noisy during spin cycles We looked online at AppliancePartsPros.com under the symptoms and found it was most likely caused by the shocks. Of course there was a repair video showing how to replace all four shocks step by step, and there was a link for purchasing the four shocks at the bottom of the video. Our repair didn't go quite as quickly as on the video because we are novices, but we were able to do the repair ourselves and, once again, saved ourselves a ton of money! Now we have a very quiet washer and dryer again (Look for our post on repairing our Whirlpool Duet dryer.) Thanks again AppliancePartsPros.com, you are awesome!! Peter M Houston , TX May 08, 2016 Appliance: Model MHWE200XW00 MAYTAG The problem was that the counter wieght was broke springs replaced shock absrobor First remove the back from the washing machine. Top of the machine came off simple. To replace springs, I took a crow bar but it on the right side underneath where one of the springs should be. Lift the tumbler up remove and replace the spring. Did the same thing to the other side. On the tumbling unit there are spaces for three shock absorbers. Mine only had one shock in the middle. I put two new springs, one in the front and one in the rear. Then I replaced the right side spring with two new springs. The way to remove the springs are, use a screw driver but it in the top slot of the spring and turn it counter clock wise and do the same to the bottom of the spring. Replacing the counter weight, remove three bolts on top of the tumbler unit. Put new counter weight on top of tumbler and screw it back in. Replace back of washing machine. Then you are finished. Ken D Arizona City , AZ December 07, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Washer MHWE900VJ00 Loud banging noise and burning smell Tub bearing failure, basically the whole machine has to be taken a part. I've used appliancepartspros in the past so I came back. Quick shipping, parts ordered Thursday night and got here Monday. Take your time or you'll just cost yourself more money. I was lucky in that I did not have to buy the $568 inner tub because I found a bearing and seal kit on Amazon for $80. Historically appliancepartspros' website has been very accurate indicating in stock or not. It appears those days are gone. I would buy here again, but I will never own another front load washer. Brenda B Central Point , OR February 06, 2016 Our duet washer was vibrating profusely while in spin cycle Our duet washer is 10years old and we have done nothing with it , except clean the drain trap in front. 1 shock looked dis colored on the metal part. We replaced all 4 shocks and it fixed the extreme vibration. Spins like new! The job only took 1 hour , start to finish! Each shock took a couple minutes to replace. The most time consuming part was taking it out of our tiny laundry room to work on it.
