Karen T Dearborn Heights , MI August 11, 2017 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL 2017 WASHER The washer would not go into spin mode only partial wash and drain The part is so new no video so I went onto a similar part and watched video that got me about 80%. Then, called and customer service sent me a service Manual but this still was not specific so I broke the old to get it out and in the process figured out how to do it correctly. So I installed the last bit of it which was the bezel through the machine top by myself correctly. So you take the old one out by pushing out to the right from the bottom side using a screw driver for leverage. It will then lift up and then slide out to the left above the machine and come off. To put in, slide in to right from bottom and then engage left side by sliding to left and clicks in place. Then put wires under clips on hood side. Go through with wire and connect. Richard B Midland , AR July 03, 2017 Appliance: Model NTW4605EW0 Broken latch and strike I ordered the parts from AppliancePartsPros on a Thursday and they arrived the very next day. My husband and I both had problems removing the old latch and as I couldn't find a video that pertained to this specific model washer, I called Appliance Parts Pros customer service number foe help. I wish I could remember the woman's name that helped me, but after she consulted with a clinician and couldn't get answers, she researched it herself, found the video, and talked us through the problem. She was fantastic! Top notch service all around. I could not be happier with our experience. John C Cornelia , GA December 24, 2021 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer WTW5000DW1 Whirlpool wtw5000dw1 top loader door would not lock, spin cycle would not function Replaced door latch and switch. Parts are plastic so you must know what you are doing to avoid breaking new parts. Videos were hard to find for my model - eventually I found a video that addressed a different problem but required disassembly of a washer cabinet similar to mine. I removed the control panel using a putty knife and unplugged the wire to the latch switch. Then I remove 3 screws securing the washer's top panel to the back panel. Using a rubber mallet, I gently knocked the top panel forward so it could be lifted up and off the washer cabinet. After I removed the washer's top, it was very easy except the last step of removing the switch from the top. Another video search turned up the solution described in a previous post. Using a screwdriver, tap the switch to the right and it easily falls out of the opening in the machine top. Do the reverse to install the new switch. Everything else is straight forward and easy to figure out. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers
