Thomas M Middletown , PA August 29, 2017 Water was leaking into the ice collection bin and freezing into a big block of ice it was also leaking water from the ice shoot onto the front of the fridge The dual inlet valve was the problem. The hardest part of the repair was moving the refrigerator so we could unplug it. The whole job took about 25 minutes and that includes the time we spent emptying and reorganizing the shelves. Michael A Franklin , TN April 12, 2020 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MFI2569VEM4 Ice maker not making ice. I changed the filter since it had been a long time since last being installed. Still no ice. I used a hair dryer to warm the water line entering the top of the ice maker in case it was frozen. Still no ice. I then ordered and replaced the water inlet valve. Still no ice. I then ordered and installed the ice maker motor module by following the replacement video that was provided when I ordered the part. After the wiring harness was reattached I heard the tray begin to fill with water. We now have ice. Both times I ordered parts they arrived the following day. By following the videos I was able to complete this repair with little difficulty. Jim Thompson ,owner Jim's Appliance Parts & Service showed up as promised spent 30 minutes removing and installing the inlet valve, no leaks,very reasonable labor bill, no leaks, a hand shake and done.The only problem was the idiot engineer that located the valve INSIDE refrigerator compartmented instead of outside back lower right side where they have been for decades..
