This spring provides the tension or return force used in the appliance's moving assemblies to restore position and maintain secure connections. It's a simple replacement that helps restore proper function and reduce slippage or sag. What it does:
I watched a couple of YouTube videos to see what to do. The greatest worry was whether or not I could pull out the dishwasher far enough to replace the spring. However it came out just far enough without having to disconnect the hoses or wiring. The replacing of the spring took less than one minute! It is indeed an easy repair! Read more

Removed bad board. Put in new board. Make sure you have the foam seal for the steam vent. This is the second time I replaced the board and when I took it apart, I moticed I didn't have the foam seal in place. I either didn't receive one with the new part or I didn't realize it it needed to be there. But that appears to have allowed steam and some water to make its way into the door cavity and short out the board. Read more
Removed dishwasher to replace spray arm pine--I replaced washer on pipe, too, and would recommend doing this just on principal. Removing dishwasher requires disconnecting power, water, and drain line--tools will vary depending on connections. i replaced drain line because original install was not done correctly--hose too short--You could probably do just this w/o pulling unit. All parts arrived very quickly and fit correctly. Read more
