This was actually one of the easiest fixes I’ve done. All that was required was to remove 3 screws to remove the broken part. I used a pair of pliers to remove the moisture sensors from the broken part to the new one. Read more

I referenced the repair video. Very straightforward and easy. Only need 3 tools: 1/4 and 5/16 nut drivers and Philips head screwdriver. About 15 minute job. Surprising how much lint and dust build up inside the chassis, was able to clean that out too. Read more

There is no good diagram explaining how exactly these fit in. I had to do trial and error. The parts are quite delicate so I actually broke one trying to get it in. I would recommend ordering an extra or two. These need springs tonfit correctly. Luckily I saved the old ones...if you don't have them, it won't work. Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy. Open dryer door. Remove four Phillip head screws that hold lint assembly together. Two inside and two on the outside. There is also a hex head screw behind the front panel. To get at it I removed the four hex heads at bottom of front panel and four star head screws on left side of front panel. I was able to get at it by pulling the front panel out as much as possible and and reaching from the side with small quarter inch socket. I followed the instructions provided by customers that previously described how they made the same repair. In addition; I ended up placing a small piece of scotch tape on the door to hold the spring in place, while I tried to place the end of the door into the hole. The spring fell off the first few times that I tried assembling it, so the tape kept the spring in place.
