Robert H for Model Number MDB8959AWS2 Follow up question. I checked the wire nuts and circuit breaker and they look fine. No discoloration. Is there a way to test the motor windings? If it is the motor windings what is the part number to replace the motor? Should I also replace the wire harness?
Answer Robert, You can test the motor windings from blue to violet which is the run winding and the resistance should be 3 to 7 ohms. The auxiliary winding which you would check from yellow to yellow should have a resistance of 6 to 10 ohms of resistance. If the motor is faulty then you would need to replace the wash motor WPW10757216. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, September 19, 2013
