Justen T Park Ridge , IL June 13, 2014 My dishwasher would not power on After looking for solutions online and watching some short videos, we decided to open the dishwasher up and try to fix it ourselves. We opened it up and found the circuit board had burned out causing a horrible odor. We ordered our new board, popped it in and we now have a working dishwasher. Hooray! Craig S Pembroke Pines , FL September 21, 2014 Appliance: KitchenAid Undercounter Dishwasher KUDS40CVSS3 Dishwasher appeared dead no power Tested the thermal fuse with an ohm meter. The fuse was ok. The next recommended likely failure point was the controller board. I bought the board from Appliance Parts Pros on a Tuesday night and asked for two day shipping so I could have it by Friday, but it arrived on Thursday (one day). The board has the color of the wires to connect embossed on its plastic case. That makes it very easy, although I took pictures of the boards and cables before I removed the board, just in case. When I removed the old board I found that a capacitor was blown as it had split apart. When I plugged the new board in the dishwasher worked correctly. Subsequently I asked Appliance Parts Pros if they had a program to buy back the old controller board for refurbishment, but they don't. They suggested I sell it on eBay or Amazon. Robert M Richmond , VA November 01, 2016 Appliance: Model ON INSIDE OF DISHWASHER Kitchen aid dishwasher only 6 years old and all the control panels flashed and dishwasher would not work Talked to a coworker who has used your service and he convinced us to try and fix this instead of buying a new one. Reading through your website, we saw similar people writing in with same problem so isolated the problem to two parts-Electronic Control board or Control panel. Replaced the Control panel and it immediately was fixed! Knew we could return the other part for a refund too. Saved us at least $800! William H Brooklyn , NY November 04, 2015 Appliance: Model KENMORE 6651374K602 Kenmore dishwasher stopped working no response from the touchpad B"H It appeared that there were two problems: One was that over the past year, some cycles no longer worked, and second, eventually there was no response from the touchpad at all when attempting to start the machine. The replacement of both the electronic control board and the touchpad console appears to have fixed all the problems. Both were accessible by removing the access screws in the door. Once the touchpad has been removed with the Torx screws (easily accessible by just opening the door), you have access to the control module. The repair was relatively expensive (over $300) but less than half the price of a new dishwasher. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
